Android-based Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman smartphone available with Reliance

Sony Ericsson has officially launched its W8 Walkman smartphone in the Indian market. This device, which would be the first Android-based smartphone under its Walkman series will be available via Reliance GSM and is priced at 9,995 INR.



The device includes a 3-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display and 3.15 megapixel camera with VGA video recording at 30 fps. It is powered by a 600 MHz ARM 11 processor and runs Android 2.1 topped with Timescape UI. It is obvious that the device is launched as an affordable Android smartphone.
Reliance will also provide up to 100 per cent reverse subsidy on the device over a period of 12 months or 24 months, for more details on the plans you can refer to the image above.
