Hewlett Packard has announced that their TouchSmart 610 ‘all-in-one’ PC is now available for sale in India. The distinctive feature of this PC is that the touch-screen has a 30-degree reclining angle, which seemingly makes it more comfortable for touch operation. The screen itself is a 23-inch, LED-backlit, TFT LCD panel. While under the shell this PC runs Windows 7, HP has installed a host of software suited for today’s fashionable touch-based operation.

Astonishingly, the press release making this announcement had no information on the hardware running the show. However, going by the model number and the information available on the HP-India website, it appears that this PC is part of HP TouchSmart 600-1200 Desktop PC series. If our assumption is correct, it means that this PC is powered by Intel Core i5 450M processor that is clocked at 2.4 GHz, and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 230 graphics processor with 1GB of dedicated memory. System memory shipped with this model is 4GB, out of which a portion can be accessed by the graphics processor, presumably when under heavy load. While we’ve covered the core of the hardware, you can find the complete list of specs on the HP website.
